Turkey Burger with Chipotle Cranberry Relish and Sweet Potato

A juicy turkey patty topped with slightly sweet, smoky, and spicy chipotle cranberry relish, crunchy thinly cut sweet potato nest, fresh peppery baby arugula, all on a gluten-free cornmeal crusted roll.

Serves: 4


  • Heat oven and fyer to 375 degrees F.
  • Toss shredded sweet potato in buttermilk then dredge in white rice flour. Set aside.
  • Place cranberries, chipotle, sugar, orange juice, and orange zest in small sauce pan and brin gto a simmer.
  • Once cranberries start to pop open, turn heat off and let cool.
  • Sear white turkey patties in a hot pan until an internal temperature of 165 degrees is reached.
  • Shake excess flour off of sweet potatoes and fry until crispy. About 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from oil and season lightly with salt.
  • Place white turkey patty on bottom bun.
  • Top white turkey patty with 2 T. of cranberry chipotle relish.
  • Add 1/2 ounce of baby arugula.
  • Top arugula with a nest of 2 ounces of fried sweet potatoes.
  • Place top bun on burger set-up.

1/2  Pound Cranberries, fresh or IQF
1  T. Finely chopped chiptle pepper
2  oz Sugar
1  each Orange, juiced
1  t. Orange zest
2  oz Baby arugula
1  each Sweet potato finely shredded
1  cup Buttermilk
1  cup White Rice Flour
4  each Gluten-Free Cornmeal Crusted Rolls
