Brooklyn-Style Turkey Burger

Directions

  • Combine oregano, cumin and chili powder in small dish. Sprinkle mixture onto both sides of each patty.
  • FLAT TOP:Preheat flat top grill to 350° F. Place frozen burgers on hot grill. Cook for a total of approximately 10 minutes, turning 3 times. CHAR GRILL: Preheat char grill. Place frozen burgers on hot grill. Cook for a total of approximately 10 minutes, turning 3 times. Always cook to well-done, 165° F as measured by a meat thermometer.
  • Heat oil in large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes or until onions are softened and browned.
  • Top bottom half of buns with patties, cheese slice, onions and top half of buns.
  • Always cook to an internal temperature of 165° F.

2   medium Red Onions, thinly sliced
  salt and coursely ground black pepper, if desired
4   Burger Buns, split and toasted
4  Slices Cheddar Cheese
